- Entrants with less than 25 models will only be assigned 1/2 table and one chair.
- Entrants with 25+ models will only be assigned one full table and two chairs. Proxy strings greater than 25 models may be assigned an extra 1/2 table upon request (but if the hall is full this cannot be guaranteed).
- Once the show starts tubs and dollies must fit under your table or be returned to your car.
- No running in the hall.
- Please don't bump other people's tables. Never touch other people's models without permission.
- Please keep noise to a reasonable level so everyone can hear the announcements.
- Unattended children are not allowed in the show hall. Children must be under control at all times.
- Necessary service dogs must be under control and may not block any aisleways or exits
- Unruly or unsportsmanlike behavior may result in expulsion from the show hall without any refund. Any disregard for show rules may result in the same consequence.
- Qualifications: Any model that placed 1st or 2nd at any of the qualifying shows is eligible to show in Champ classes at the 2018 Champ Show.
- Because these divisions are often not included in many shows, there will be no prequalification required for entries in the Hartland and the Performance divisions. However, these models MUST be pre-registered and prepaid. Please include them on your model forms.
- Any unqualified model may enter the “Last Chance” classes at the beginning of every section. These models should not be preregistered or prepaid. Do not include them on your model entry form and do not prepay for them. At show time, please place the $1 per horse/per class entry fee next to each model in these classes. Models from the Last Chance classes that place 1st or 2nd may advance to the appropriate Champ class that follows at no extra charge.
SHOW POLICIES:
- Entry Cards: This is a 3x5 card show (leg tags are not used but you may keep them on your model). Each model placed in a class must have a 3x5" index card. For Breed Halter & Performance please use a white card. For Collectability & Workmanship, please use a colored card (or write a large "C" or "W" on the face of the card). One side should have class number, breed and gender with the model name and owner name on the reverse. Entries without index-type entry cards will not be judged. Please do not use scraps of paper or Post-It notes, 3x5" index cards ONLY. Print or write your cards legibly! Place your card with breed side up.
- Double-Judged Classes: If your class is double judged, please place two index cards (one white, one colored) next to your model. If you don’t want it to be double-judged, place only the card you wish it to be judged upon.
- Documentation: Documentation is encouraged for breed classes where needed. Documentation is MANDATORY for Collectability and Performance. Documentation size may not exceed 8.5x11”; please make smaller if possible. No bound books are allowed as documentation.
- Collectability: extra “stuff” may be displayed but large items (boxes, etc.) must be placed on the floor under the show table. You may indicate the extra items on your documentation. Your documentation should tell your judge why your model is collectable (see Judging Criteria).
- Performance: Each setup MUST have a written description of the action being portrayed. If the event is a pattern class, your description should include a diagram of the part of the pattern you are portraying, where the horse is in the pattern, the gait and the direction of travel. If there is more than one equid in the setup, place your 3x5 card next to the entry model. Maximum size of any setup is 18”x30”. Multi-horse hitches may be given extra space at judge’s discretion.
- Showing Limits: Each OF model may only show in one Breed class and one Collectability class*. Each customized model may only show in one Breed class and one Workmanship class. *(Last Chance classes- If a model places 1st or 2nd in it's Last Chance class, it then advances into the Champ classes. These models therefore can exceed the showing limits above.)
- Performance models may show in as many classes as the entrant can manage. HOWEVER, there will only be a 10 minute allowance for tack changes so please plan accordingly.
- Class Limits: Because of space constraints, there are class limits per shower. For Classic/Trad classes class limits are 3 per class. For Mini classes, limits are 5 per class. There are no class limits for China, Performance or Hartland (because these classes rarely ever fill).
- Model Limits: There is no limit to the total number of models you may enter. HOWEVER, during the show you are limited to storing your models and tubs ONLY on or under your table space. If you bring more models than your table space allows, you will have to store your surplus in your car.
- Each entrant is responsible to get their models on the show tables. Please do NOT ask the show managers or judges to hold classes or notify you when your class is starting. It is solely the entrant’s responsibility to get their models on the show table on time and remove their models when the class is ended. Models left on the show tables by their owners will be moved to a Pony Pound. If they are lost or damaged the showholder shall not be held responsible. Please only bring as many models as you can safely manage. Each entrant with 25+ models is allowed to have 1 helper at no extra charge.
- Model Placement: Please place your model in a line around the edges of the show table with your card next to your model. Please be considerate of other showers; space reasonably close together and leave room where possible. If the table fills to capacity around the edges, you may place models in the center. But please be extremely careful not to bump other models. If a shower chooses to lay their entry down on the table rather than place it in a standing position, they automatically give the judge the authority to pick up the horse for judging. Showholder(s) and judges are not responsible for any damage that occurs on the show table. Please lay horses down on a modestly sized piece of padding to protect your entry.
- Scale Classes: Classic and larger sized models will show in the regular classes. Stablemate, Microminis, Little Bits, Pebbles and Chips will show in the Mini classes (defined as 4” or less from the withers to the bottom of the hoof).
- Definitions:
- Original Finish: An original finish plastic, china, or factory resin is a mass-produced model in its original state as released by the manufacturer. Models may be repaired or restored to the original state, although a judge may penalize any visible repair at his/her
discretion. Any alteration to a model beyond original state disqualifies it from the OF division. - Custom (formerly known as "Simple Custom"): A custom model is a one-of-a-kind created by altering an OF model, whether plastic, factory resin, china, or other material. Any alteration from original factory finish means a model is customized. A custom model may be repainted with or without hair or sculpted mane and tail, repositioned, have body parts re-sculpted or replaced, or be created from two or more models.
- Artist Resin: (or "Original Sculpture"): An artist resin is a casting of a unique work. Artist resins may be finished by the original artist or by another artist; may be altered from the original casting; may have sculpted or hair manes and tails. Regardless of who finished the model or how altered, if the underlying body is an artist resin, the model should be shown in the Artist Resin division. An original sculpture is a unique figure created by an artist from raw materials; although it may be based on an armature, no mass-produced model or artist resin, regardless of how altered, is used as a base or armature. An original sculpture may be the prototype for an artist resin run or may exist as a single, stand alone work of art.

The entrants will use those tickets each day to vote for the Daily Champion/Daily Favorite that will win a special award and prize.
